As a researcher whose Finnish language skills are still very low, I have a question: is "Merenhuiske" instead of "Merenkuiske" more than a simple spelling error by Hosuli, ie. funny? Until someone corrects me, I understand "Merenkuiske" as "The whispering of the sea", and "Merenhuiske" perhaps as "the wobbling of the sea", which would be a bit funny indeed, since Hosuli is often anxious. [As we all know, the Swedish original has a simple, yet charming spelling error: "Haffsorkestern" – I don't think it aims at "haffa" = "to snatch". The English translation has "Oshun oxtra" instead of "Ocean Orchestra", which is a grandiose spelling error, but not funny besides that. The two German translations (before 2000: "Seeohrkester" instead of "Seeorchester", after 2000: "Mehrmussick" instead of "Meermusik") are just spelling errors, the later one even overdone to an embarrassing extent.] 2.139.199.105 10. huhtikuuta 2023 kello 07.30 (UTC)
